Kaleidoscopes

After 4 years I have finally picked up a paintbrush again and it feels good! This is a new project i’ve been working on, experimenting with double exposing some of my paintings with photos of flowers, then manipulating them into prints and patterns.
Some exciting prospects for these pieces so far, i’m sure there will be more on the way soon. I hope you like!
Wow your soo amazing new lover alert¬!
Beautiful.
Beautiful!
Such talent x
Thank you everyone!
These are amazing! I’m not too familiar with art and methods of painting so forgive me for my ignorance. Did you paint those in the kaleidoscope fashion, or take a picture and superimpose them together to form a picture? I’ve heard of double exposing but this is definitely new.
Otherwise, amazing job! They are very, very cool. I’ll pass this on to my sister, she loves good art.
Thank you for your kind words! They are photos of my paintings which have been double exposed in camera with photos of flowers etc and then manipulated into the kaleidoscope effect in post production. Glad you like, thanks for checking them out 🙂
Magnificent! I love these.
These are so amazing and clever! 🙂 What are they painted with?
Thank you 🙂 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 10 include oil paintings, the rest are photo overlays

This is fantastic. Really beautiful.
these are amazing!
so inspirational!! I was wondering….what made you pick up the paintbrush after 4 years? I am asking because I haven’t painted in over a year and have been thinking about it lately. 🙂
aw thank you so much. for many years painting was my focus and after switching to photography i became caught up in taking pictures and kept meaning to find the time to paint but never did. it was actually after going to see the picasso exhibition in london a couple of weeks ago – this huge urge to paint flooded over me so i went home and just started, still working on that first painting so its very recent but i feel like i’ve reignited some creativity. so my advice would be do it!
I love these Zoe! I am very interested in kaleidoscope and mirror type imagery as well. Beautiful work! Will have to check back often.
thank you candace – wow, beautiful work! i really love the oil on wood pieces. I’m interested – do you prep the wood in any way? really nice colours. thanks for stopping by!

These photos/paintings are amazing! You are a very talented patron of the arts. I had a kaleidoscope when I was younger, and I could never imagine painting what I saw. There is just too much to put on paper! Superb photos!
These are so gorgeous, they need to be hanging in a beautiful hotel on a tropical island somewhere.
Gorgeous. Great pick me up for such a grey Northern Ontario day! I needed a reason to smile. Thank you.
